Acronyms for horses

Is it that difficult to write out a horse's name? Maybe I'm getting old but when I see these acronyms I have no idea who the poster is talking about.

I use the full name once and then go with the abbreviation...who wants to type To Honor And Serve four times in one post? Or Mucho Macho Man?

Much easier to type THAS or MMM

I was reading thru Serling's Friday night chat on the NYRA site and someone asked him what he thought of "SB". His response was similar to mine. There's a few people that might warrant use of acronyms, but not horses.

I never figured out who SB was. To me, SB means Super Bowl.
