Right after the U.S. left Vietnam there were a series of mushroom poisonings of Vietnamese refugees here in the U.S. It appears that there are no poisonous species of mushroom in Vietnam and the refugees did not know better. Maybe the same is true of Pakistan? It's possible that poisonous varieties only grow in the Americas.

I only eat mushrooms that come out of a can or that restaurants put on my hamburger.
