My mortgage is underwater,
so I was surprised to get a no cost refinance offer for the full amount owed,
from Chase Bank several months ago.

The new mortgage would lower my interest rate by 2%, saving me lots of money.
Of course I jumped at the offer.

While waiting for my new mortgage I did a little research & found out that it was you,
the taxpayers that were paying Chase Bank to reduce my mortgage.

Last month my mortage was sold to Fannie Mae.

Fannie Mae does not sue people that don't pay their mortgages.
This is significant, because it means that if I should decide to walk
away from my underwater mortgage, you the taxpayers will lose.

Fannie Mae is paying Chase bank to administer the loan.
It looks like Chase Bank is making lots of money while the taxpayers
are taking all of the risks.

Anyway
Thank You taxpayers for all of your help.

Early this month I went on vacation for ten days.
When I got home the 1st thing I did was go to get my mail.

Somebody answer this.
Why would the mailman cram so much crap into my mailbox
that I almost needed the jaws of life to take the mail out?

I was thinking about Obamacare.

How long will it be before these things begin to happen
if Obamacare does'nt get repealed?

Since Obamacare will be enforced by the IRS,
when will the 1st lien be put on the house of the working
stiff that could neither afford to pay for Obamacare or the
fines/taxes imposed for not paying for Obamacare?

When will the 1st Obamacare foreclosure occur?

The baseball game is getting good.
I've got nothing else to say anyway.

As I posted the day the USSC voted this POS into legislation, the IRS cannot use just any tool needed to extract $$ from anyone (outside of witholding paycheck funds I suppose). Check out that thread, I noted the text in the decision that prohibits a lot of things they can do.

Speaking of Obamacare....I was watching CSPN today, they replayed the 2008 Townhall debate......Obama actually said under his plan, we'd all get the same insurance plan that he and Senator McCain enjoy.....Lie # 1,458, 908 (You lie!)

About 20 years ago I owed the IRS money, they put a lien on my house.
Had I sold the house while it had the lien on it, the IRS would have gotten their money before I got mine.

In recent years I have read about more the one country western star and other people that were forced by the IRS to sell their homes and other assets in order to pay IRS debts.

Obamacare / ACA is different tho....The text of the decision is pretty clear, they can't put a lien on anything over this POS. (below)

Beginning in 2014, those who do not comply with the
mandate must make a “[s]hared responsibility payment”
to the Federal Government. §5000A(b)(1). That payment,
which the Act describes as a “penalty,” is calculated as a
percentage of household income, subject to a floor based on
a specified dollar amount and a ceiling based on the average annual premium the individual would have to pay for
qualifying private health insurance. §5000A(c). In 2016,
for example, the penalty will be 2.5 percent of an individual’s household income, but no less than $695 and no more
than the average yearly premium for insurance that covers 60 percent of the cost of 10 specified services (e.g.,
prescription drugs and hospitalization). Ibid.; 42 U. S. C.
§18022. The Act provides that the penalty will be paid to
the Internal Revenue Service with an individual’s taxes,
and “shall be assessed and collected in the same manner”
as tax penalties, such as the penalty for claiming too
large an income tax refund. 26 U. S. C. §5000A(g)(1). The
Act, however, bars the IRS from using several of its normal enforcement tools, such as criminal prosecutions and
levies. §5000A(g)(2). And some individuals who are subject to the mandate are nonetheless exempt from the
penalty—for example, those with income below a certain
threshold and members of Indian tribes. §5000A(e).

More like "Trickle Up Poverty", right? A jobless person will get their healthcare FREE since the IRS will have no other tool than witholding funds from paychecks (someone else pays for it)....If you have no job, you have no paycheck. No paycheck, the IRS has no vehicle to withhold funds. They can't place liens etc. Just gouge a paycheck, which unemployed don't have.

Like I said, the Middle Class will pay for this shit. I am not necessarily anti-HC, but this is the worst way to go about it (speaking on behalf of the middle class)
