todays second race reads as a $2500 purse. the win pool has $325, the place pool $192, the show pool $75. the exacta pool $472, the trifecta $528, superfecta $139, total handle $1700. this is a waste of time, they would be better off just splitting the purses equally between the trainers and not bother running the races.

this is a harness track in Maine for those who aren't familiar with the place. Know someone who had runner earlier this year that paid $70 to win and $5 to place due to the small pools. There are greyhound tracks that have higher pools.
