Been away for awhile with work n life n such. Here's my picks for a muddy monday at Belmont. As always I'll play $10 WP on my top pick and roll the pick 3's for the dollar.(3X3X3=$27each). The plays:

Race -1 The :3: . Off the turf in the opener. 3rd time off the layoff for new trainer Gullo who hits at 18% with new horses in the barn. Has a win on an off track and the slight drop in class today should help. (3-14-1)

Race -2 The :8: . Puts the blinkers back on for a 40% trainer move for Rodriguez. Jumps up in class for another 13% trainer move. Is bred to relish the off track and should sit a good trip here. (8-3-7)

Race -3 The :6: . Hard to look past what this Assmussen trainnee has done lately. Running back to back 100plus Bris figures in easy wins. Only question here is the off-track which he has a win over. (6-1-5)

Race -4 The :6: Off the layoff for a 26% McLaughlin move. Goes turf to dirt for another 21% angle. Has shown the ability to handle the off going with an 85 Bris figure over the surface. Bullet work Sept 21st for this. (6-4-3)

Race -5 The :1: . I think a Brown runner wins this Yld turf race with either the :1: or the :7: . I'll tab the higher price runner from the rail here. Ran 2nd in career debut and trainer hits at 22% with 2nd time starters.(1-7-2)

Race -6 The :16: . Off the turfer here and i've landed on the MTO runner here. Must overcome the outside post. Wide open race here. (16-14-12)

Race -7 The :7: . May be the toughest race on the card filled with solid looking 1st time starters across the baord. I've landed here for Goldberg. Been training well for this for 16% 1st time out trainer. (7-6-1)

Race -8 The :3: . Broke her maiden at 1st asking on a Yld turf course. The sod Gods must be watching over this one as its another yld course today. Stretches out to the route today for a 16% trainer move. Some things to like here. (3-4-7)

Race -9 The :2: . At 8-1 on the ML for Robb. Ships in from Delaware for a 22% shipping trainer. Has a win and a 2nd on a sf and yld turf course so the track condition should be no concern here. Longshot play here. (2-3-8)

Race -10 The :3: . An 8-1 longshot to hit the road with today. A double drop in class for another 22% move. Has the speed to be prominent here on the cutback to 6F today. Bombs away in the last! (3-12-11)

Kid, I'll play along today.

Race 1 :14::7::1::3: I liked Kid Wando last week when he won professionally, and feel Guerrero wheels him right back for the win. #7 Davins Ticket by Whywhywhy already has a win on an off track, and had trouble in latest, big threat. #1 Creas Law is a 1-25 horse that usually gets a check, beat the tar out of the top choice on a muddy track here in June. Could be a big price.#3 Little Dale could certainly steal this race, but his inability to twice handle #4 Bizarroworld (who has gone in the tank since) is somewhat troubling.

Race 2:8::9::3::2:Speed Galore sets up #9 Starforaday nicely, former handicap horse could find these to his liking, but I'm picking #8 Orsonian to beat him. Great wet track record, Rudy, third time off layoff, and first blinkers--lots to like. #3 Powhatan County ran well first time on dirt last race, but note it was only 5 horse field #2 Quick Money---will be probable fave, but I'm never on the right wavelength with this horse, so it will probably win today.

Race 3:6::4: I was just going to single #6 Rigby, as he looks like the logical winner, but I've always been a big Heritage Hall fan, it's not likely he takes 16 months off and outruns Rigby, but the price will be right.

Pick 3 $32.

Bel R4 - probably gonna pass this one unless the :3: remains around her current 7-1 price.
Trust in Goldberg and Ramon off the layoff...well bred, working right along at Colts Neck, barn has been known to be deadly off the long layoff

I'm with KidCap on this one..swangin for it with the :1: ...still a maiden but ran impressively behind a wire to wire winner in last, gaining nicely in the lane after going three wide on the turn. Speed held well on the turf that day and JJ stays with him in this Gr3.
Value is there at 14-1...trying to get the Pletcher :3: out of the equation
