Way back, when I used to live in LA and followed MLB, I really did not like Valentine. Now, after his first year with the Red's, it's one and done. I have mixed feelings about his dismissal.
Is there a spot for him somewhere else in MBL or is a college position in his future?

My guess is yes. A veteran team is not good for him. A college team or a real young team it might work. Too many veterans on the Red Sox. Was doomed from the start.

He is better off behind the desk on a pregame show. Too much of a nut to manage in the big leagues. IMO, not a good college coach at all.

He sure didn't shake that 'divide and conquer' mindset within the Bosox org....I thought for sure he'd look at the gig as a chance to redeem himself. He was awful tho
