But no more 7 1/2 furlong turf races. :p

And why they didn't keep the original far turn in place (their former 6-furlong turf course) when they moved it to its present location, at the quarter pole (the current 7-furlong turf course) in 1987 is a mystery; then they could have used them both and run essentially any distance on the turf, with no big gaps between distances; e.g., 5 1/2 furlongs, then no other distance less than 1 mile.
