if you owned a car that wasn't built in the United States, you were looked at as being unpatriotic

when people didn't try to out smart each other trading stocks, they owned stock in the company's they worked for and helped their company's grow.

when a new president got elected everyone rallied around him and let him do his job.

when family's all sat together at the dinner table with both parents there.

when kids could leave the house by themselves and return home, and there was no such thing as a "play date"

i guess things always have to change, but that doesn't mean that everything that changes is actual progress.

I remember the days when parents wished a better life for their kids than the life that THEY had lived...and they actually thought it might be possible.

I LOVE play dates. Best thing since sliced bread. Never would have happened without the internet.
