Got a F3-F100-0004 error on my sister's Toshiba laptop.
Looks like it has something to do with the partition or hard drive damage.
I have no recovery disks, so not sure what I can do for it.
Anyone had this error before?

Something called a Hitachigst disk can be downloaded and used - any experiences with this?

Looks like along night...

Thanks....computers....ARRRRRRRGGGGHHHHH!

Tom,
If the laptop has a Windows license sticker with the serial number on it?
Just take it to a computer shop and they re-install Windows. (The sticker is the license, rather than the discs).

First you'll (or the shop) need to determine the cause of failure and repair that. (Hard drives and other failures are quite common in laptops due to the extreme heat).

There are a wide variety of prices at repair shops. Some shops are dirt cheap and are quite reliable.
Others shops charge top dollar and are unreliable.
The consumer just needs to locate the correct shop.

JUST a thought...
if you reformat that drive and install your OS, Office program and security system, then you would have the disks and could get rid of the other conflicts.

I did that with my desktop. The new HD was $79 and was twice the size of the original. Works like a champ.

Good luck!
