What the hell was FDRs problem?
He should have immediately backed Hitler and bowed to the Emperor, who was also a Stalin enemy.

True.

But Truman or Ike probably should have brought that atrocity to light during the Cold War. They obviously opted not to.

Truman should have listened to Patton and MacArthur and avoided the cold war altogether.

His problem was that he always smooched Uncle Joes behind and pretty much gave him anything that he wanted. FDR never really viewed communism as much of a threat, and once remarked that "Some of my best friends are Communists." Just another reason of many as to why most conservatives regard FDR with animosity.
