"Expect the Unexpected"
Each time a jockey shows up for the day's races, he or she never knows what that day may bring. Tim Thornton knows well that really anything can happen. An unexpected horse may step up and win, a longshot may outrun his odds, and as always, the starting gate can prove to be one of the most unpredictable places on the racetrack.
