Friday’s 200K Credit Winner at Vernon is a bad joke on all of us. The race drew a four-horse field. I guess they won’t need an elimination round to whittle down the entries.
1 Hot Shot Blue Chip…….Corey Callahan
2 Arch Madness……………Mystery
3 Chapter Seven…………..Tetrick
4 Mister Herbie…………….Jamieson
Well, they did manage to draw the two best trotters in training. Why not tell the other two to get lost and make it a match race? It'll be one anyway.
I believe the last time Arch raced was July 21 in the Maple Leaf, and he couldn’t come close to keeping up. Hot Shot beat a wo25 field at Pocono yesterday.
Chapter Seven beat a pack of zeros in the Maxie Lee at Harrah’s last time out. He was 1/5 from the eight and won in a walk.
Herbie had a similar experience in the Frank Ryan at Rideau Carleton. He crushed that field at 3/5.
Herbie beat Chapter Seven in the Maple Leaf, winning in a track, Canadian and stakes record time of 50.4. Chapter Seven then evened the score by winning the Nat Ray at M1.
Rubber match, anyone?
