A Rocknroll Dance has had two weeks off after racing nine weeks in a row. Thought all those tough miles might catch up with him in the Battle of Brandy but he had a strong win in that one. He has three major open stakes wins to his credit this year: M Pace, Hempt and the Battle. And he had three last year: Bluegrass, Int Stallion Stakes and the Gov Cup. He drew the six.

The only other colt in the field with a major open win this year is Pet Rock, who won the Rooney. He won his Confed Cup elimination a couple back but was no match for Michaels Power in the final. He finished second in the Pace. Pet Rock just made it into the final with a seventh place finish in last week’s elimination. He drew the seven.

Heston drew the nine for the final. He crushed the opposition last week in his elimination, and won the EBC handily prior to that. Last year’s Matron is his only major open win. He did win his M Pace elimination. He has nine wins this year, most of them in restricted races. In the Pace final Tetrick tried to beat Dance from a third over placing on the last turn but got nowhere and finished fourth. He should be firing out of there today. Can't see Gingras allowing Tetrick to control the race, though.

Time To Roll won the NJSS Final and was second in the NA Cup, as well as his Cup elimination, but he was awful in August.

Dynamic Youth was second in the Confed Cup and set a TR (3-y-o g) at Tioga in coming from off to beat Steelhead, Coral Snake and Bombay in a SS race at the end of July. But aside from that, he beat NW4 at Pocono a couple of times and won another cd pace at that track.

Steelhead has been good in the NYSS all along. He hit the board 21 times in 24 lifetime starts. He was second to HBC in his Cane elimination.
