She fell to her face at the break, probably costing her 6 or so lengths. That she stuck her nose in front turning for home was pretty amazing.

RD was soaking wet in the post parade and looked very thin, she didnt look to be the picture of health today. Ran a gutty 2nd just on class and heart.

She has her not so good days, too.
Today was one of those.

I was suspect of her after that last race.
It's Tricky did great job recovering. I was rooting for IT today.

I know. You said IT quit rather suddenly and wondered if something was wrong. I was just providing a possible explanation for why. Hopefully she didn't injure herself with that stumble, because it was pretty bad.

I've long thought that Royal Delta is a very good horse with some big efforts that is probably a tad overrated overall. IMO she had a number of very easy trips along the way last year and benefited from being the only horse that wanted 10F in the Alabama.

On the flip side, It's Tricky often found herself forced to do all the dirty work keeping Plum Pretty honest even though she can rate and would have been better off moving later.

On her best RD is probably better, but IMO the gap is not as large as generally believed and I think yesterday's race kind of supports that view even though RD was pretty washed out and may not have been 100%.

It was bad - I thought she actually fell at first.
