TERRIBLE start to today's racing, both @ WO and SAR, with all those 2 year old races. Anyway:

SAR R4:

:10:, Bonita Sonata: overlay @ 18:1 with 5 min to post. conditional win bet
@ 20:1.

:11:, Cinematize: CHEMIST'S horse; chalk as usual.

:13:, Divadora: coming out of same races as the 10. Like the short cutback; should be tough and she's also a price.

Itamaraca
08-25-2012, 01:17 PM
10 was 19:1 @ 0 to post, so no win bet. 13 lost 3rd late stretch.

Saratoga - Race 4
# Win Place Show
11 $3.40 $2.60 $2.20
10 . $11.40 $6.50
2 . . $3.80

$1.00 Exacta 11/10 $14.80

Itamaraca

SAR R5:

tough race but some good money possibilities:

:4:, Mulheb: cutting back to 7F and should be just behind the leader(s) -- assuming he can rate and doesn't contest early.

:2:, Ascauga: not crazy about this one going 7F but I like his race last out. Appears to be the fastest early. Edgar's always a risk.

:7:, Major Gain: up against it in terms of the setup last out. Might get a nice setup today.

:13:, Reload: 7F should suit this one on the cutback.

Left out the Dutrow 2nd timer: perfect trip last out; Dominguez off.

Itamaraca
08-25-2012, 01:49 PM
Dominguez wins it with the 2:1 claimer.

WO R3:

2 year old turf race but an interesting mix of winners and maidens -- most having never turfed before.

:1:, Sky Commander: Husband/Casse/Oxley: maiden trying the turf for the 1st time. Getting money and will probably be the chalk. Hard to ignore.

:3:, Nancy O: 2nd time starter that went 7F on the turf last week. Had a rail run throughout. Chart says this one was steadied late turn. She was but it was insignificant. What was significant is that she was coming well on the inside, on the wrong lead, when she got completely shut off. I suspect this one can run a bit.

:4:, Are You Kidding Me: Attfield 1st time turfer that blew them out of AW last time. Currently the chalk. Have to respect.

Itamaraca
08-25-2012, 02:13 PM
Had the tri but it was the 2nd worst number in terms of payout. 3 broke bad and got the worst of it, getting necked by the even money 4. Husbands took forever to get clear with the 1 but couldn't threaten the top two while styling and still holding on for 3rd. Key was the 1 didn't really get hit.

I'll take it.

Woodbine T-bred - Race 3
# Win Place Show
4 $4.00 $2.80 $2.70
3 . $4.90 $3.60
1 . . $3.10

$1.00 Exacta 4/3 $15.25
$1.00 Trifecta 4/3/1 $37.70

Didn't even realize until watching the replay that the 3 is a filly.:bang:
So much for 'relevant' data.

Itamaraca

WO R4:

JUICER Jordan's 1ster, :6:, is currently 3:5. He never STFU and his juice hasn't been the same lately. I don't know what to make of this one. Will probably use it defensively on top.

the two I like are:

:5:, Actiononthegreen: middle run in a 7F off the turfer.

:8:, Call Me Perske: dueled and drew off, getting run down late; in the same race as the 5.

Itamaraca
08-25-2012, 02:41 PM
The juicer burns some more money @ 3:5. 1 wins it; 6 2nd; 5 had the length of the stretch to get by, @ 13:1, and didn't.

SAR R7-8

R7:

:9:, Gossip Column: no chance last time given the setup; wins this if fair.

:2:, Sneaky Kitten: one to beat; nice try last time.

:6:, Kharafa: coming out of same race as the top two; like the fact it was his 1st route. And that Maragh was replaced.

R8:

:4:, Which Market: late runner; should benefit from added distance.

Itamaraca
08-25-2012, 02:59 PM
can't get any worse than that. the 1, a hanger who took forever to break its maiden, sits a perfect trip, while the 2 and 6 dook it out, and beats the 9 in a photo. Dominguez gets outfinished by Cornlio - go figure. good thing Leparoux got up for that special ride.

The kee race is terrible. The bel races are okay -- though he got help in both cases; the sar race is nothing special. If he gets help he can win.

I'm playing one double:

I could see her and Ramon lumbering up for 3rd or something , i just really wasn't thrilled with last out regardless of stamina.

I don't like hungry island at all.

I guess I should be keying :6: Tapitsfly top and bottom in that case, but I'm not crazy about her either :D

i'm not seeing this as a grade1 like the nyra analysts unless someone surprises me.

WO R8:

very nice race. I don't know what to do with the two Casse horses here. Husbands is on the :7:, which appears to be weaker than the :5:. Bridgmohan, apparently, was kept on the 5. I have to use both of these but only UNDER in exotics.

Otherwise, I think this is essentially a two horse race

:2:, Blue Heart: squeezed on the inside in the stretch, after having a perfect inside trip, going 10F last out. She recovered to finish nicely. Her race @ 6.5F on the turf is also good. She should have an edge on these.

:6:, Colonial Flag: got handle pretty easily by Centre Court two back. I'm not so sure that she's better than these; and shippers don't typically do well on this turf course. 8F is probably just right for her.

:4:, Runfor Ro: explosive win @ the distance/surface last out. Real shot.

Itamaraca
08-25-2012, 04:51 PM
Not today.

used the 2 and 6 on top. 2 got a wide run and bailed. 6 won it. longshot 10 beats out my 4 for 2nd. I get nada.

this Kings Bishop looks like a guessing game..

:10: is a big price who could wire or win a duel here with an improvement.

:1: figures to get a good setup behind the duel, the question is whether Garcia screws up - this horse breaks running but is stuck inside and will soon get buried.

who else do you throw in there ? the underlay 3, or trinniberg?, or Gun boat ?

A lot of speed in here, apparently. Don't want anything on the pace.

:6:, Spin Out: love his last race @ the same distance/surface/track. Big ? whether he can compete with these. He should be able to sit just behind all the early action.

:2:, Gun Boat: no chance last time. Baffert juice; will get a good setup, assuming he breaks well.

:3:, Currency Swap: another one that should be just behind the speed. Wish the impatient idiot Maragh wasn't up.

I liked Fort Loudon from his first wins, but was surprised they never sent him to Zito as a juvenile. He's also just not that good. THe 8 did more running unless i missed something on live action.

I never get right with Leparoux...his horse gave a nice effort, but even with a clear run in the lane i don't think he holds off Willy Beamin, whom i didn't use.

Hard to say. I wound up needing the eight by the time they got past the eighth pole. I rarely give much of a look to the riders anymore, but I really need to start doing so until Leparoux retires or moves to another country.
