Another in a recent string of celebrity deaths is the passing of comedy icon Phyllis Diller at 95. Even the younger members of the forum should be familiar with her work. Her self deprecating humor and raucous laugh were her trademarks that made her famous to millions of fans.

I was always a big fan too, BlueShoe. Phyllis, Joan Rivers, and Carol Burnett were the The Big Three when I was a tad younger than today. :)

what a great actress, i am glad that she live this long and only hope that her days were all bright.

That is strange, but Sunday, I mentioned Diller to my sister and she asked if she was still alive. I said yes, I thought so.

I had been hearing her on XM radio driving home over the weekend.

Worked in NY for nearly 18 months back in the late 80's. I listened to Soupy Sales daily radio show. He had PD as a guest one day. His comment was that if she had one more face lift she would appear to be wearing a goatee.

I got the joke like 5 minutes later.

Diller said this was the only joke she ever paid for.

Fox news reporter: "Your friend, Johnny Carson was buried today. What does this mean to you?"

Diller: "He's dead."
