:9:, Lucic: fighter, against the grain, effort last out at the distance. Should be very hard to beat.

:10:, Gold Eire: fighter effort at the distance two back; long odds and will be on the pace

:7:, Royal Colwood: 2nd out this year; nice run routing last out; cutback should help if race, which has quite a bit of speed, comes back.

:11:, After Dinner: speed and dueled with the 9 before quitting last out. But this one appears to be improving.

A lot of speed in here, apparently; maybe one of the longshots steals it

:12:, Slew the Maestro: will be running late -- never gets up but gets a lot of pieces. But his effort in the same race as the 9 last out was the 2nd best in the race. Use under in exotics

Looking for value with the :7: & :8: to use with the two chalks :4: & :10: .
Both may get involved early...rails in on the Mellon course which may not help speed, but there are many deep closers in this bunch and maybe the speed can get away.
The :8: ran on a bad rail and a heavily speed favoring main track last time...looks a lil slow compared to these but gets a big time positive jock switch and may get a piece...

Looks at the results in the 2nd @ WO: the :11: was 57:1 and got caught just before the wire after fighting gamely through the stretch-- losing by a head.

Interesting. The 1 definitely herded the 7 entering the stretch; and that one was bounced around pretty good between the 1 and 6. If this were last year, the 1 was a cinch to come down. This year, the WO stewards are letting pretty much anything go.

Figures: they let it stay.

Had the 7 over the 1,5,6 in tris; so I got NADA

large field going 7F: any of 2,3,6,13,15 could win this race. The JUICER Fairlie has the chalk, #6, and while 7F might not be the best distance for this one, it has to be respected. I'm between the 2,3 and 15 for the top spot.

:3:, Get to It: some decent races going 7F; terrible route last time. I need 20:1 for a win bet.

:2:, Friday Night Guy: this is my choice for the top spot; hasn't demonstrated the ability to get 7F consistently but he's coming up to a good race.

:15:, Fatherforgiveme: very impressive maiden win at the distance two back; then bomb terribly routing last out. real shot at real long odds.

should really stay out of this one but, here goes

:6:, Smart Bid: a notch below the elite turf horses but he's supposed to beat these; but there's the Edgar factor. Not much speed in the race; should be forwardly placed.

:8:, Hotep: Husbands up; arguably the best closer in the race. Yet to demonstrate the ability to get the distance

:1:, Scalo: German import; who knows? If he's anything he pisses on these.

The :1: was closing fastest vs many of these in their last, tactical speed to stay close to the frontrunner(s), back class, looks tough at even money.
:3: looks like lone speed, hung in there pretty well when they came to her in the Lake George, race two back was nice, but no way they let her steal away today.
:4: didn't break well and then was taken up into the first turn in last race and should surely be better positioned early today under Castro...may get first shot at the :3: before the big closers come.
:2: looks as solid as the :1: and i gotta use 'em both on top despite the price.

Making the :4: my key horse but needs a smart ride from Castro...please Eddie, please. Your filly can't finish with these so give her a head start into the lane. Rails out on the inner turf today so hoping E/P types get it done.

:9:, MacAllan: 5 for 7 at the distance. two turf races in a row, one decent; dropping. Problem is Stein gets off for the 8 and McAleney gets up.

:4:, Black Bird Rock: wish that Husbands was replacing Da Silva on this one. No confidence with Eurico riding for Casse. But she's supposed to beat these.
