Has anyone else noticed that Robert Goren has not been on for three weeks. I know his health was not the best. I hope he is alright.

I'm glad you posted that - I almost did the same yesterday since he rarely vanishes for more than a few days other than when he's been ill in the past. I miss playing Ad-Libs with his posts and then having Mack try to figure out if he's still on ignore.

I thought of it yesterday too. Hope he's back soon.

I checked myself the other day and saw he hadn't posted since the middle of July. I'm concerned about Robert too.

I asked about Bobby the other day in the heat thread......hope all is well with him.

Chikenhead, I like to think he is out somewhere on an Indiana Jones-type adventure and will come back with tales of intrigue!

I got worried and PM'ed him a few days ago. No reply. I hope he is just on vacation and not ill.

He's been hospitalized in the past - maybe he has no computer access for a while.

PA should have the data to look up this bad boy.

He has a lot of health problems, Chron's Disease, being one of them, if I recall--though I could be wrong. He, too, has had numerous hospitalizations and has to take a good amount of medication, as I've read this in his postings.

It is concerning, very much so, that he has been gone for this long.

Hoping you'll be back soon, RG.

That's a disease that can go in and out of remission and yes with some prolonged hospitalization .
Hoping to hear something soon , hopefully that he is healing well . It has been long .

Very much so. And extremely difficult to live day to day with.

Thanks for the concern. I am in a a rehab site right now. I get dizzy when I stand. I can only walk about 40 ft even with a walker. So far they haven't been able to figure out the cause. I see gland doctor on tuesday and another Ear Nose Throat doctor on 9/11. I have had cat scans on my brain and sinuses. A heart monator showed nothing. I feel like I am in an episode of House. It has taken me a while to find a back door to this site because they ban access to gambling sites. I will try to check in every so often. Robert Goren

RG, sorry to hear of your troubles, but happy to hear you are not permanently gone. Pay no attention to Bigmack. I think your troubles were caused by overexposure to right leaning thoughts. I know I find myself dizzy trying to comprehend them and reconcile them with reality. Anyway, your main concern should be figuring out what is wrong and how to deal with it.

Get well soon, Robert...and, upon your return here...I am sure you will find the landscape at PA to be a lot friendlier towards you than it was when you left it.

For a while at least...:)

I guess a person has to disappear for a while...in order to prove how important he is to the group.

And you've certainly done that...

You've been missed by all.

Get well soon Robert my prayers and thoughts are with you.

If you haven't had this checked out please ask your doctors if they should consider it. This happened to me and I went to many doctors who thought I was nuts because they couldn't find anything.

Symptoms

Symptoms begin suddenly, last only a short time (from a few minutes to 1 - 2 hours), and go away completely. They may occur again at a later time.

The symptoms of TIA are the same as the symptoms of a stroke, and include sudden:

Abnormal feeling of movement (vertigo) or dizziness

http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmedhealth/PMH0001743/

Finally a cardiologist ordered a tee test and it found a tiny hole in my heart that had been there since birth. It closes on over 99.9% of our population and is very rare only a few doctors perform the procedure. In fact there are only two in the NYC metropolitan area who do it. They don't operate around the heart its put in through the groin.

http://my.clevelandclinic.org/services/transesophageal_echocardiography_tee/hic_transesophageal_echocardiogram_tee.aspx

This is exactly what I have in my heart now and it solved the problem.

thanks again for the concern. I have been to heart doctor. He doesn't think it heart related. He going to do an ultra sound on my neck arteries just to be sure, but he doesn't expect to find anything.

Nobody here has a good feel for how good the huskers are going to be. I looking for 9 wins.

I don't know if there is thread for super bowl picks, but here are mine The Pack and The Texans. Last year I was half right with the Giants and the Chargers.
If weren't for ESPN , I would have gone crazy. Later Robert
