9th@Mountaineer~ 6F Clm5000 (open) Purse $11,400 (8/7/12)
----------------------------------------------------------------
Six runners go before scratches, two horses "stepping up" in class
off wins have won in open company before. #1 horse only cutback.
----------------------------------------------------------------
1) Just Foe Frank (5/1ml)- 4YO cuts back 550Y off 6-week layoff
with no interim works while dropping to new low claiming tag. 4/21
route effort v.better solid, last 3, beat 1 runner. Watch PostParade.
2) Chillin Villain (4/1)- Runner dull in last, coasted late. Expect to
see Loveberry gun for lead early w/closers in #1 & #3 posts. i like.
3) Smooth Transition (7/2)- In-Form Closer wants #2 & #6 to battle.
i'll try to beat off gutty win & 3lb. weight gain, but tough foe.
4) Bea's Treasure (3/1)- Steps back into open $5K Tag after career
high 76 Beyer. Scooter Davis runner has kept her from having a
convincing 4-race win streak. Will get 1st run on early speed.
5) Streaterville (8/1)- 7YO closer needs pace meltdown. Chuck last.
6) Luigi's Honor (5/2 ML fave)- Sluggish Early, closed OK in last off
11 week vaca. Should be clear second early if Villian breaks. Fave
should be tough to deny, unless Villian runs & hides, or he battles
too early to set up closers.

(Early Look: Hate to say it, but Merry-Go-Round 2-6 or 6-2 my bet)

10th@Mountaineer~ 6F Clm5000N3L -Purse $7,800 (8/7/12)
------------------------------------------------------------------------
Half the Field come out of Common "After-School Special" race July 17th
(& the Late Pick-4 pool was +$36,000,BTW!). 2nd/4th finisher threats again.
Lone shipper in field will get a LOT of betting support, likely fave @Posttime.
------------------------------------------------------------------------
1) Mirror Ball (12/1ml)- On Super ticket in 8-0f-last-10 locally @N3L level,
Major Positive rider switch to Fuzzy Lumpkins. Route-2-Sprint. Use Under.
2) Billy Goes To Jail (5/1)- Couldn't get lead from #8 in last, lost interest
final quarter-mile. Needs Alert break for best shot, must-use-under.
3) Awesome Brady (30/1)- Will need 4th or better finish in one of next two
starts or be banished from Mountain'til he hits board elsewhere. NowYaKnow.
4) Matty's Enforcer (9/2)- Bet hard in every start for solid connections, but
6F may be 110Y further than he wants to go. Will be bet again. i'll try-2-beat.
5) Noble Cavalier (6.1)- Beaten by Matty @5F, stalker may sit 4th early in
this spot. 0-10 @6F, solid connections, i'll wait for 5.5F N3L spot later.
6) Storm By (30/1)- Cutback, rider switch, may round out Super.
7) Hard To Imagine (20/1)- Private Purchase from 23% trainer off dull effort
vs.Four of these in last. El-Paso.
8) No Fear Here (2/1ml fave)- Bet down to 5/2fave from 8/1ml in last, but
couldn't hold off horse w/dream trip. Best local runner, but remember that
No Fear Here has lost ground in the final 440Y of every start in 2012.
9) Castleton Park (3/1)- New Face, 30% Trainer., Turf-2-Dirt 550Y cutback,
Bullet 3F work, can pass runners. WinnaWinnaFour2FivePizzaDinna if whole.
10) Paul Bunyon (30/1)- Absolutely NADA last 4 starts, bad post, 4th BCS.

(Early Look: No Fear Here gets lead & rail, Billy Goes to 2-path stalking mode,
Mirror Ball & Noble Cavalier sit the dream trips. Castleton Park pounces on
the Top 4 by the 1/8th pole, & draws away at will...)

in the 4th race at the mountain this evening there is no show wagering. the horse with all the money has a shot to blow up because of the pace of the race in case she doesn't clear she could get herself in trouble.

i am awful to start out with, but i want to give credit where credit is due. Nancy and Mark from Moutaineer are hot as a firecracker. they gave out 4 top winners this evening so far including a $16 horse in the fifth race. you hear about other public handicappers but these guys are as consistent as it gets and they have been doing this for the last decade. their handicapping truly amazes me. they also picked against a 1-5 shot in their marquis race, the West Virginia Derby. when everyone was on Hansen, they went to Mucho Macho that paid $11.40.

they truly deserve a ton of praise for the work they put into this game.
