Shocking News from ABCs Diane Sawyer. Could it be that ABC is beginning to "see" Obama for who he really is?? One Could only hope.

I-635 in Texas is being rebuilt with underground tolls from I-35 to I-45 and is contracted to a CHINESE FIRM for over $5 billion.

Diane Sawyer reports on U.S. bridge projects going to the Chinese.... NOT Americans. The bridges are right here in the U.S. and yet Obama has approved for Chinese contractors to come in and do the work. What about jobs for Americans???

This one should be tough for the supporters of the current regime to swallow.... and it comes from ABC NEWS: " U.S. Bridges and Roads Being Built by Chinese Firms."

Shocking to say the least! This video is a jaw-dropper that will make you sick. It was also shocking that ABC was actually reporting this story.

The lead-in with Obama promising jobs in the U.S. by improving our infrastructure is so typical of all his promises!

Our tax dollars are at work - for CHINA !!!

Shocking News from ABCs Diane Sawyer. Could it be that ABC is beginning to "see" Obama for who he really is?? One Could only hope.So a story about how some states have been contracting with chinese firms to do infrastructure work (despite federal laws and incentives to "buy american") because the costs are cheaper = ABC News seeing Obama for "who he really is"? Classic.. :bang:

The opening Team U.S. A. Olympics uniforms were made in China?

Now roads contracted to China?

Thank you CHAIRMAN OBAMA.

I fail to see how this comes back to Obama......

The constuction is a Texas Department of Transportation project. The company doing the construction is the LBJ Infrastructure Group, a Texas company.

Am I missing something?

Hey, they built the railroads, right?

When they're through with the roads we can keep 'em here and send the Mexicans home.

Think about it.

Texas didn't do that.
Someone else did.

Where the decision was made we do not know.
Texas oversees the project.
Toll fees will be collected to pay down the debt over 40+ years and remain in place thereafter.
The Department of Transportation's Federal Highway Administration grants monies to states (about $52 billion in 2010) from monies collected from taxes on gasoline and other fuels.
The Federal Government has it's finger in this pie, even if the connection is complicated.
Obama heads the Federal Government.....well he tries to.

You are missing that it is Obama's fault. Please ignore the fact that he had nothing to do with it.

In terms of National Security, don't you think that the Federal Government should be concerned about any other nation being awarded a contract to lay the bedrock of highways in any state in the United States?

Shouldn't they have a policy in place that has them reviewing such contracts?
If they have one why isn't it being followed. If it is being followed, who would approve such a contract with a foreign power?
If they don't have one, they are incompetent.

I would think National Security supercedes states rights.
Tell us why you would argue differently.

So you think US citizens should destroy all those Chinese made computers they love to buy. Far greater "National Security" risk than highway infrastructure.

Of course the real risk is non-maintained bridges that actually might collapse and kill citizens.

When the Minnesota bridge collapsed in 2007, approximately 25.4 percent of the nearly 600,000 bridges in the U.S. were considered either structurally deficient or functionally obsolete, according to the DOT (http://www.fhwa.dot.gov/bridge/defbr07.cfm). By 2011, the number dipped to 23.8 percent (http://www.fhwa.dot.gov/bridge/nbi/defbr11.cfm), still leaving nearly 150,000 bridges in the same categories.

Glad you think so. Probably the "cookies" implanted in them.
What about Chinese fortune cookies?
They must have secret codes.
Just the other day I got one which read "For rectal use only."

Nice, continual brown-nose work, coming to the defense of all things related to your mancrush. When do you start defending the United Steel Workers Union who lost out to China? Tell us more how Romney ships jobs overseas.

By the way, you have something on your nose.
