I am trying to find out any more details on the Mason Time test that was used (according to descriptions in the UK Tote Annual) in UK in the 1930s or possibly before. It was an earlier version of Ragozin /Beyer/ Timeform and Sporting Chronicle speed-rating time methods.
It used the 1/5 of a second per length criteria so may have been a USA method but cannot find much about who Mason was.
