for the first time in over a month, the odds on the democrat winning the 2012 election has gone up.

it is now -$170---$100

Those look like the best odds I'm seeing anywhere.
The major UK books appear solid at -2.00, and higher.
Likely to be some money for Romney around convention time, though.

http://www.oddschecker.com/specials/politics-and-election/us-presidential-election/winneri highly suspect that the price will drop after the democratic convention. the election bet that i am looking at is democrat vs. republican. should something crazy happen and Obama is not the nominee, i would think that it might be Clinton. she would be a cinch against anyone running against her in my opinion.

the amount that the democrat is favored by at this point is not that much. if you look at these maps that are colored red and blue he looks like a 5-1 favorite. that leads me to believe that either the maps are wrong or the odds are wrong. i personally think its the maps.

Anyone thinking they can beat the odds in presidential elections is dreaming. Picture the most thorough handicapping program devised using the latest super computers and scale it up by a factor of ten. That's what you're up against.
