A bit underwhelming, but a good bunch nonetheless IMO.

:1: Rule
:2: Hunters Bay
:3: Caixa Electronica
:4: Endorsement
:5: Trickmeister
:6: Ron the Greek
:7: Flat Out
:8: Hymn Book
:9: Fort Larned

Fort Larned should offer some value in the race. He had a great 5f work on 7/30 in 58.69(2/48) and galloped out in 1:12.

I don't think you can expect much more these days from a G1 for older horses. The race has three G1 winners, two G2 winners, three G3 winners, and Trickmeister, winner of 6 of 8 lifetime.

Every time I see this thread I think it reads "Whitney Houston".

I gotta go with Ron The Greek here. Since Mott has had this horse, he's been lights out on the track. Hard to go against. Should be a good race.

Endorsement.
Keep it under your hat! ;)

I love this race. I think it's pretty wide open and has several horses that may be a tad better than look on paper/speed figures. I should be able to find a bet here.

Mott could run 1-2 with Ron The Greek and Flat Out.
Using Endorsement as well... :7: :6: :4:

I like Hymn Brook but think its between him and Flat Out both 4-1.

Rule seems overlooked today. Hoping he sits behind a duel of Fort Larned and Trickmiester. Very few Whitneys are won by deep closers. Second off the layoff and probably goes off at higher odds than Flat out who he beat. I think it's going to be a big day for Todd and Chad. Maybe 6 to 8 wins between them.

Amazed...this is a grand old race on the older male circuit and virtually no interest at all.
I am going Mott:

Because no one else seems to be picking him. :)

Mott runs 2nd and 3rd as Fort Larned busts it open and rolls at 7-1.
I just didn't like the winner, but should have taken notice when he whipped Mucho Macho Man 3 back at CD and then MMM beat most of the main contenders today in the Suburban at Bel.
Bad job by me...missed a nice lil ex and/or tri

I think the FL bettors should send a thank you gift to Johnny V for spinning Ron The Greek 8 wide coming into the lane.

Would a fourth 108 finally get this horse some respect? Is it the Midwest thing? Wilkes? Hernandez? At least Donovan had him priced much more realistically (7-2).
