Of the 4 biggest writers in the genre, Clarke, Bradbury, Asimov and Heinlein;
I think that at least 3 started in Fanzines: Bradbury,Asimov and Clarke. Clarke
wrote some articles for the British Interplanetary Society that was a Fanzine since it was self published. In order to get Asimov into an exclusive Fan Group
called "First Fandom" some people dug up some of Asimov's letters that he wrote when he was 13.
