Actually, the ball hit Middlebrooks' wrist. How about MLB FINE the umpire?
I'm sure Bobby Valentine and Beckett and going to be fined. One thing to miss the call. Quite another to belligerently insist that you're correct after the fact -- when replay clearly shows you to be WRONG.
This shit is easily avoided by going to the replay. But the MLB (and the NBA and NFL, etc.) would much rather punish/fine players and coaches for just trying to get a fair call.
