Saratoga Picks: Sunday, July 29:
Have a good day at “The Spahhh”.
“Hello Muddah,…” Allan Sherman (1963)
Race One: :6: Dehere of the Cat
Well-named Dehere-bred 3-year-old colt whose pedigree indicates he can handle the distance and a wet track. Trainer Mike Trombetta’s having a very good meet. Rajiv Maragh should have this colt closing in the stretch. May well benefit from added distance.
:5: Live For Today
#1 Piscesbymoonlight
#2 Zivo
Race Two: :8: Awesome Weekend
Finished third in her previous effort from the rail. Now moves to the outside; that should help. Should handle the “off” going. Ramon Dominguez for Gary Contessa.
:6: No Nukes
#5 Comandante
#4 Thingamajigger
Race Three: :3: Cat Ferrad
This is a lightly-raced 5-year-old bred mare. I like the turf to dirt angle. Also, second start off a layoff. The red-hot Joel Rosario in the irons for Dom Galluscio. Should handle the wet surface.
:5: Smarty Bull
#4 Primal Baby
Race Four: :8: Let The Kitten Run
This El Prado-bred filly was heavily bet in her only start on nthe lawn at Belmont about two months ago (she finished fifth). The Mike Maker-trained three-year old should benefit from that effort. Has had some decent morning works. John Veazquez in the irons.
:9: Perfect Forever
#3 Riolama
#4 Vacationing
Race Five: :9: Sim Sala Bim
I don’t know what happened to this filly on the turf last time, but I’m willing to give her another chance. Decent work since that last race. Did face better in only effort. Might surprise. Worth a look both on the track and on the board. Switch to Cornelio Velasquez enhances. Linda Rice trains.
:5: Simple Rules
:6: Thirty Minutes
#1 Anchovy
Race Six: :4: Raquel
This Awesome Again-bred filly should benefit from the race being taken off the turf and run on the main track. The filly had shown nothing, oh for three, on the lawn, but she can handle the distance and the moisture.Rajiv Maragh rides for Mark Casse.

:9: Flashy American
#10 Shes Tough As Nails
