10th@Mountaineer - 6F Clm5000N3L - Purse $7,800
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
The 8/5ml Fave steps up off crushing N2L score with a Career Top Beyer,
9pts. higher than any other's last. Picks up Deshawn Parker & 3lbs. off win.
Normally, i'd be salivating at chance of beating him. The Problem: Next five
logical runners ran June 29th, in 6th&7th races. They have similar speed or
stalking styles,none have cracked a 60 Beyer,the winning Par for N3L here.
Outside two runners go Turf-2-Dirt, but look hopeless in this field. That
leaves the lone 3YO in field, & a 7YO that's winless in last 21 starts. Ouch!
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
1) Energy Warning (10/1ml)- 7/2 vs. #4&8 in last, skittish start lost best
chance. 4YO hasn't cracked 50 Beyer. Best use underneath in Tri/Super.
2) Billy Goes To Jail (7/2)- Speedy last pair, beaten @4/5. Needs to avoid
pace battle early. Could do it, but may be overbet as 2nd choice.
3) Biogio's Legend (8/5ml Fave)- Has Won by 8 & 3/4's and 7 & 1/2 in two
local wins, beaten by loose-on-lead Billy when stepping up to N2L. Logical
fave, but i'll try to find a Way to Beat, can't see worse than Place finish.
4) Just Smok'n (5/1)- Failed Wire-2-Wire attempt last out @6/5, may try
to revert to stalking mode that got N2L win 4 back. Could be big factor in
race out come by plan of attack. Interesting runner.
5) Brown Feather (12/1)- Both Wins in 2010, maiden $5K win here. HUGE
rider change to Pereira, needs a three-pronged battle to set up close. $$
6) Hard Two Imagine (10/1)- Won in mud 2 back, plodded up for 3rd vs.
Billy last out, similar finish BCS.
7) Tristen's Thunder (10/1)- Loveberry Leaps after four rides, but picks
up solid rider in Rivera. Lone 3YO made 6/5 (on Carson City breeding?) in
last, rolled 4's in PPs start to finish. Room for upside, month off since last,
could fill Tri/Super if early speed quits.
8) No Fear Hear (8/1)- Outside speed should be able to see how #2&4 go
out of gate early, should be 2-3 wide early on. Under Key, can't see Win.
9) Paul Bunyan (30/1)- Turf-2-Dirt, Brinkley Back up, did fill super @38/1
when only 1/2 length behind Billy three back. Post dooms today.
10) Awesome Brady (30/1)- $60,000 Keeneland Purchase in 2009 Won MSW
here, then $5K N2L in March @3/5. Sold Privately OFF WIN to 1% trainer,
then 2nd private purchase to Jackie Erler? FYI,5 Starts since hitting board,
will need to run 4th or better in next 3 outs or be Banished from Mountain.

(Early Look: #3 Tough, not invincible. if 2,4,or 8 scratch, pace may be a
bit slower early, helping speed. i Wish Doug Johnson OWNED Brown Feather
as well as train him, but he's my 3-6 key on top. may key #6 3rd if big $$)

9th @Mountaineer - 6F F&M Alw23000N3L - Purse $23,000
------------------------------------------------------------------------
What a $15,000 Claim on #3,Chernomorochka! Won Debut when haltered
by 23 & 3/4's lengths, stepped up to N2L Allowance, winning by 1 & 1/2 in
Fast time. Waters are supposed to get much deeper in N3L land, but only
returning Nightofsolance has figures that match up, going turf-2-dirt.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
1) Aix En Provence (6/1ml)- 4YO tries Mountain 1st time with Parker up.
Both wins at 990Yards, goes Poly-2-dirt. Distance big question mark.
2) Bella The Princess (6/1)- Won here @5.5F in Mud lone local start.
Bullet 3F Work, needs to work out stalking trip. Rider HO 4-for-12 w/trainer.
3) Chernomorochka (7/5ml fave)- Both Beyers leap off page, has won on
the lead & stalking fast pace. 6F no problem, only thing missing: Value.
4) Please Daddy (8/1)- 3 races this year, none in 2011. No works since her
N2L Win 50 days ago. Can't endorse here, but may prove OK claim if healthy.
5) Shopped Out (8/1)- 3rd off layoff, stalking style, ready for best? $$
6) Nightofsolance (5/2)- Logical 2nd choice stretches out 220Yard going
turf-2-dirt for trainer/owner that's 3-for-5 locally. Logical, likely Underlay.
7) Three Sixty 20/1)- Been stuck on N3L condition over a year, tried to
get "W" with drop to $15K claimers; bet to 7/5, no speed, no threat. Pass
on Win or Exacta, but i'm going to try & key 3rd/4th in Cheap Super play.

(Early Look: Both Faves look solid on paper, but i always try to beat a ML
fave stepping up in class, esp. in Allowance Company. #5 crazy bomb, &
if both faves misfire, Super using #7 could pay Big Balloons $2DD(5,6)(3,5)=$8!)
