I was doing something on the computer when Cara, my kitty, came and stood on the keyboard. (Happens a lot) Before I could lift her off she had entered a long string of letters in the search box. I was going to delete it, as I usually do, but hit the enter key by mistake. This is what came up:

I have no idea what it means, but I'm sure Cara does.

Put the information from the line that starts REFERENCE into a search engine and you get:

http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/2017436

This (http://cbio.mskcc.org/publications/papers/sander/038.pdf) appears to be the actual paper.

Thanks. I'll be sure to show this to Cara. She may have some helpful suggestions for the authors.

Well, well, Mosty and I do appear to have something in common  ; a fondness for cats. As I type these words, my old girl is lying between the keyboard and the monitor on the edge of the desk. She is pretty good in staying off of the keyboard, but every now and then----:) .

One of mine as a kitten, sitting on my printer (not recommended!):

Our cat continually amazes with her computer wizardry. Once, she managed to flip the screen display which took me awhile to figure out how to fix.

Now, I fix other friends computers. ;)

She's also a prolific typist:

Obviously not a cat person.

Cats spend their entire lives asking the same questions of us.

Cats are obviously an extremely advanced alien species, with Photographic
memories and very advanced computer skills. You stumbled on one of their more rudimentary computer posts. Cara will probably be directed to kill you now for this breach in security. Indeed you may have doomed all who have read this thread on PA. The ONLY thing that may save you is the kindness that you have shown this alien being over the years.

Princess, our soon to be 15 year old kitty, regularly jumps up on my lap while I'm working on my laptop. Sometimes typing can be a challenge.:)

The other 4 kitties seldom jump up, except for one when she is HUNGRY and wants to be sure you know this.

There is a comic on our refrigerator that is typical for cat lovers and our beloved feline friends:

Scene --> Cat sitting on the chair looking very comfortable.
Wife sitting on floor near chair.
Husband pokes his head into the room with a quizzical look.

Wife Response --> "He wouldn't move". ;)

My wife and I are both "softies" when it comes to our kitties.

Mine jumps on the desk and stands in front of the monitor. He seems to know when my pick is coming down the stretch! He's just living up to his name- S**thead. I'll show him- I'm getting 2 monitors.
