Thanks for starting this little contest again.

A word of caution, just so folks do not get caught short: they start playing golf while it is still the middle of the night for most here on this side of the pond. We're going to have to post before we hit the sack.

Since the U.S. Open golfers will have earned significantly more money.
Yet you are still going to cap it at $65 million?
Have you thought of upping that cap a tad?

I do apologize that I still don't have the info. Hopefully, it'll arrive today!

About midway thru 1st round. Adam Scott -5 Tiger and Bubba -4. Fun to watch this Bubba Watson and it looks like he has his head back into golf after winning his lifelong goal of winning the green jacket. Go Buuba who needs golf lessons.

Now Gramme McDowell, Paul Lawie, and Zach Johnson at -4. You can tell there is NO WIND the whole field is killing par. Pity the late tee time guys if the wind starts back up. :) But that's the British Open you starting tee times for the first two rounds can be big.

Close reading needed on some questions, and, a solid understanding of the rules.

I got 50% and learned a couple of things in the process about situations I will likely never experience. But, now I know the correct answers.

For the life of me I couldn't find Tom Lehman on the salary list last night. Now this afternoon I look & find him at 8.2 million. Nothing like signing for the wrong scorecard - less than what I actually shot. Put me on the DQ list, one less thing to keep track of this weekend. :)

Gotta to hand it to Ernie though.
Ernie rimmed cups for the last two days. Had he putted better he would have been 5 ahead.

Agreed. They were in the same type of category.
I would rate Greg Norman's as worse than Scott's.
Those British Open Golf courses are more treacherous than Augusta National, in my opinion.

Ernie can rule the golf world again. See: http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/golf/the-open-ernie-els-can-rule-1156108 . Long reign Big Easy.

BTW, Feherty's rattlesnake remark: it was discussed by him today on GC. He did not realize until afterwards Ernie was still hurting from his putting problems when the remark was made, and, very likely stung Ernie.

Feherty looked right into the camera and apologized to Ernie, and, to me, he looked about as sincere as any one could.

Feherty is a twit sometimes and his mouth runs ahead of his brain.
He is not naturally funny but he believes that he is.
And the networks believe that he is too.
I don't.
Several years ago Feherty cowrote a book entitled
"Somewhere in Ireland a Village is Missing an Idiot."
At least he got that right.
