Hello all! For Sunday, another full plate sans Calder. On Slew's mind are the following tracks and races:
Belmont - 2,4,5,8,9
Monmouth - 2,4,7,9,10
Hollywood - 1,6,7,9
Woodbine - 3,5,8
Arlington - 2,7
I missed the races today but just got home in time to play the exacta in Hollywood's 9th. Switch being the presumed best horse in the race was placed over Slew's picks (1,6,7,8). 10 minutes later, I had made more $$$ in the 1:24 of the 9th race at Hollywood Park than I did all day at work. There are 3 lessons here:
1. Work sucks (although I love what I do)
2. Horse racing is a great game
3. Slew's picks need good handicapping to make them work. That is why the guys who make the "picks" get 200 views to our 60. But just because Slew's horses are not winners, doesn't mean they have no value. Your sharp handicapping and horse racing knowledge give them their proper value and place in your game.
