There's lot of branches to this particular tree, so, don't jump to too many conclusions.

First, the watch should charge whether or not Windows knows what to do when it recognizes the device on the end of the USB cable. So, go ahead, plug it in and see if the watch does eventually become fully charged as described in the manual.

Next, in general, if there are specific drivers needed for the device, if they are not supplied as a part of the package then they are probably found on the web site for Bushnell. In my experience, when I was dealing with my Garmin G6 Approach and updating it's function/content, I had to add a plug in to my browser in order to update the course maps and internal data. For your Neo+, it looks like any updates for the watch are documented here: http://www.bushnellgolf.com/media/pdf/neo+watch-update-instructions.pdf . Note that on page 2 there is an embedded link in the PDF document to either launch a wizard or cause a download and installation of some software. Chances are it will eliminate the message from Windows.

Next, see if anything here (http://www.bushnell.com/global/company/contact-us/) might get you some help. Worse case, call 800/423-3537 .

Good luck.

P.S. While I like both my Bushnell laser rangefinder and my Garmin G6, I still find fault with both. But that's a different conversation.
