The Pocono drag strip gave us still one more record setting performance yesterday, as Meirs matched the all-age TR of 48.1 in winning the open.
Did Mike Simons really think Tyler Buter was going to let him blow by Golden Receiver with Rockincam on the back? Did he think G R was going to fold after a half in 53.2? As it was, Simons forced that 3/4 split of 1:20.1.
The fact that Meirs gets to sneak up the passing lane and win a race like this is a perfect example of why they should get rid of the PL.
