Anybody remember this homegrown product? Could have sworn I seen they were back in business. But for the life of me I can not find it now. Or I could be mistaken. Any help. Thanks.

I always associated Turf Moms with Dave Powers/RPM Information Systems (if that's who you're referring to). (I don't know whether RPM was the developer of the item or not.) They still have a website (which I found using Bing!), but I didn't see Turf Moms listed among their current products.

It was a list of mare's that had winners either 1st or 2nd time on grass, it was around 20 years ago.

Bris pp's have the stats in regards to actual turf winners foaled by the dam.

I thought I had something filed away or bookmarked for blue hens but I've seem to have lost it.

I do have this: http://www.horsesonly.com/crossroads/xfactor/heart-1.htm

I have a version dated Summer 1998.
Publication is an 8 1/2 x 11 spiral bound one that is 209 pages and lists more than 8500 1st or 2nd time grass winners, indexed by dam, with an average win price > $16.00.
The title page is signed by Mark K.
Contact info listed is:
Turf-Moms
P.O. Box 5454
Old Bridge, N.J. 08857
I haven't see anything recent from them.
I believe I purchased my copy from The Gamblers Book Store, Las Vegas.

Had my memory jogged today when I read of the passing of ex-trainer Boo Gentry. He trained Graustark, whose career was cut short in 1966 after an injury in the Blue Grass. This horse was one of the best sires of broodmares I ever knew. Their progeny excelled on the turf.

Graustark's full brother, His Majesty, was also the damsire of Dynaformer. The Galbreath (Darby Dan) farm, who Gentry eventually trained for exclusively, had a huge influence from the 60's onwards in producing "Turf Moms".
