One theory as to why space travel is limited with advanced civilizations and forbidding them from visiting one another is that they self destruct before advancing to that state. In terms of space and time we're a relatively young civilization and we're already nearing that stage. We've only been to our own moon.

Actually, the true cause of "global warming" is revealed. (See 2Pet 3:10-13.) So, get suited up in your highest quality asbestos suit of armor. The first time around, Man was judged by water.
