--Does anyone like betting and/or watching the late Friday evening harness races from Cal Expo and Fraser Downs on free, live video? For that matter, there's also late Saturday evening races from Cal Expo as well.

-- Even if you don't like to bet these above-mentioned tracks, it gives you some harness racing action to watch, late on these evenings. The free, live video links are at:

http://www.capitolracing.com/livevideo.asp for CAL EXPO.

and:

for FRASER DOWNS

I played cal-expo for a while when hpi had betting on it,usually sat nights and only occasionally, that was last year,i havent seen it opened this year though.Liked following Tim Twaddle just because he started around here. Also i followed Cal because this was the first track I that i could watch on the net, before TRN was availiable in my area,so it was quite a treat i thought. It also gave me a heads up on Im Dam Goog when he came to woodbine 2 yrs ago.I still get thier programs sent to me from capital racing though

--The Cal Expo live video is working fine on this Friday evening. However, the Fraser Downs one isn't working...must be having technical difficulities.

--I like playing Cal Expo, although they seem to have a preponderance of races with cheap claimers and conditioned claimers. With patience though, I find the odd spot play to bet there.

--As for Fraser Downs, I haven't played that track for awhile. Too many short-priced winners. Bill Davis has dominated the driver's standings there for quite a few years.

--There's one additional bonus at Fraser Downs. They give out free, online past performance programs on their website. I wish more racetracks would do that. Windsor Raceway is the only other one I can think of that gives out that freebie.

--I get a kick out of the race calls by Fraser Downs track announcer, Rick Uppal. He's kind of a showboat when he's announcing...he'll raise his voice a few decibels and use catchy phrases. But, I find it entertaining. In between races, when Rick Uppal is giving his commentary on upcoming races and selections, his voice changes back to a normal level.

Cal E xpo also provides free PPs. At least I know they were thru 11/03. I found that I want using so I turned them off at that time. You have to wade thru their site to find the link for signing up. Al

If you are a member of HPI (free) you can download Woodbine/Mohawk, Fraser, Flamboro, Georgian Downs, Windsor, Elmira, Kawartha, Rideau, etc. for free.

--Oops! No wonder there's been no live video at Fraser Downs the last two days. The races have been cancelled due to weather conditions. I leaped before I looked! Should have checked for changes first.
