10th @Mountaineer~ 6F MSW $17K
three shippers, three FTS, Four cutbacks,
& Four returning from 2011 campaign comprise field.
Entry listed as 9/5ml fave, Parker named on both.
2) Dolce Lusso (15/1ml)- 6YO makes 1st start in 8 months. Prep for route?
3) Cassandra's Castle (10/1)- dusted in Tampa debut after pressing pace
early for $8K tag, 4YO Filly will try to get lead & play catch me. (they will)
4) Elusive Male (4/1)- 6 Works off +Year layoff, from Todd Pletcher trainee
makes first WV start. Only two dirt efforts dismal, good connections.
5) Wanna Be An Angel (10/1)- Layoff + 1 work = Tab for Later.
6) Sixty Four (30/1)- Not in this lifetime, even on drop from N2L foes.
7) Ray From Clay (12/1)- Kentucky shipper cuts back in local debut.
Good rider, but 1-34 trainer tempers enthusiasm.
8) Hero's Wager (3/1)- 4YO Virginia-Bred is by 8% sire. White-Hot trainer,
Logical Win alternative to entry.
1) Promised Day (9/5 entry)- Sire 5% with FTS, trainer 3-20 with FTS.
3F blowout @CT last week. No Value, will both halves run?
1A) Overt (9/5 entry)- More Than Ready 13% sire, dams only runner a sprint dirt winner.
No listed works in 20 days. Better half of entry?
9) Lite Music (8/1)- 7 month break, 3 works, trainer having solid meet.
Gotta think Rivera will push early to get stalking outside position. Exacta Key?
Early Look~
(scratches could change race shape... FTS hold edge, #9 Price Play)

9th@Mountaineer - 6F Clm.10000 - Purse $15k
Wide-Open $10k claimers look to have plenty'o pace before scratches,
1) Byesville (30/1ml)- One-Time winner thrown to wolves last pair after
breaking maiden locally. Wait for N2L race to back.
2) Bank of Dad (6/1)- 12-time winner did little first off claim, cuts back 510Yards
and gets cozy post. Was monster here when Mike Gill-owned, can Englhart
get 7YO back on track?
3) Overpower (5/1)- 4YO ripped through lifetime conditions locally when
sent out 5F & 5.5F. Nailed in only 6F effort. Finds waters deeper, scratches
from other speed would move up chances.
4) Elusive Schemes (6/1)- Cali invader cuts back on trainer change. Two local
bullets indicate fresh & ready, distance biggest concern. i'll watch one.
5) Pure Rush (6/1)- 5YO eligble for N4L condition. many breaks between
starts since 2009, tried CD $10K claimers in last. 3rd off layoff. Know early.
6) Brother Keith (9/2)- Parker reunites with speedy 6YO. Tough veteran,
looks difficult to keep out of exacta.
7) Valient Tenbob (3/1)- 4YO just missed at this level 4 back after defeating
Pure Rush in N4L sprint 5 back. Stalk & Pounce effort likely, loses T.D. to #2.
8) El Tajin (6/1)- looked good wiring time-condition $5k claimers last two;
can't envision winning speed Battle & holding off stalkers/closers. I'll pass.
9) Chocho Jr. (10/1)- First-Time for Tag locally, closer will get pace to run
into. 3 wins in 2011 on Poly; Ex/Tri likely ceiling.

Early look:
(Bank of Dad juicy price with nice post/cutback. Elusive Schemes fresh new face.
if 3,5,6,8 all stay in field, gotta look for stalker/closer.)
