Let's just hope she doesn't break down. That would be really sad.

Sad news for me, i can't bet her. I never bet a horse with a layoff of 2300 days or more. Sorry rules are rules. :)

She'd fit in a lot better at Penn National. Probaby cash a check every week in allowance/opt $25k claimers there.

For what?

If the vet said she's good to go then there's no reason why she couldnt have run.

This isn't a Rick's Natural Star case.

The same reason why so many people love to play Evangeline because they can fill fields easily with so many horsemen in the area. Everybody knows somebody who has a horse. A real family affair and a throwback to the old days down there. You'll see a winner off a 5 yr layoff at Evd long before you would anywhere else. (Most likely at 90-1 with the connections laughing at the windows)

Well afte public pressure , the Churchiill stewards scratched a former broodmare . She was sound .But after a lengthy break , they said it was for the mare's welfare.

Whatever floats your boat.

Just like Jerkens said. Not too much good can come out of a purse structure , when that purse is significantly higher than the claim price.
