Really need Hierro in the Woody Stephens R9, but this is a contentious race.
Almost all of this field is 10-1 or less with a very lukewarm 3-1 favorite.

Hierro can track this honest pace from the inside and have every chance turning for home...need Leparoux to be a man and put Hierro where he needs to be.

My problem with Hierro is that he got a perfect trip to win last out. Unless they go out there like they did in the 7th, he's not going to get too brave.

Another paceless turf special by the NYRA crew. They're continually trying to see how slow they can go.

:7:, Hudson Steele: appears to easily be the controlling speed in this one. Never gone the distance but the way the course is playing today it probably doesn't matter

:5:, Desert Blanc: another try with a better jock. Should sit a nice inside trip with Dominguez.

:8:, Gottahaveadream: love this one's last race. Held by far the best in a race that completely fell apart, after pressing the pace from the start. The 2nd place finisher won today's opener. She cuts back to 8F today. There's other speed in the race, however, and I don't like the blinkers going on (or the outside post). Hopefully the equipment change doesn't put more speed into her.

:5:, Look Who's Ritzy: she beat the winner of today's 1st two back, where she made a nice move and got engulfed by the pace late. Then had brief speed going 9F last out. Should be right there if the race isn't won on the pace.

My intuition kept pushing me to Papaw Bodie, I kept looking at his last race and continued refusing to use him, as I had no idea he'd be with pace. As it was, had the double to the winner (from TRINNI) and have a nice double to Dullahan. These track bias are only effective when you don't notice them and/or don't adjust to them.
