Any figure makers in the house? The interior fractions and final time of this race are extremely fast in comparison to other turf races this weekend. As it stands, now, the Beyer figure is an 82. That seems low to me, but I'm biased.

Thanks,

Mike

No, we don't own Navy Nurse. Currently, we own Three Part Harmony, Bruce N Autumn & Navy Wings. All are at Calder & are trained by Tom Schell (McSchell Racing).

What a month we have had in the barn.Winning 7 out of 9 is astounding!..Funny how the people give the trainer a pat on the back for their horses victories. When in reality its the horse that does the running. All we can do is look after them the best we can.Congrats to you Mike,Navy is a keeper!..Owners like you come around once in a lifetime. Here is a pic of him yesterday morning out for his walk after his race.Have to give Pedro Monterrey a big congrats also He is a very good rider and is very underrated. He listens to instructions to a tee.We may have the highest trainer/Jock percentage in the nation.

Navy Wings was claimed for 10k at GP, McSchell now has a two race winning streak with him on the Calder turf, for 16k, and Allowance Optional Claiming 16k, and Beyers of 80, and 83, in back to back races! :)

McShell-

Isn't there an additional bonus from the Illinois breeders fund for him winning two open co. races?

McShell-

Isn't there an additional bonus from the Illinois breeders fund for him winning two open co. races?

He doesnt get any extra florida bred money here.I dont think he would get anything from the fund in ILL as he isnt on their turf course or runing in their state where he was bred.

lamboguy

i get a check from the state of kentucky and louisiana breeders funds that don't run in their states at all.

never had an illinois bred though.

McShell-

Isn't there an additional bonus from the Illinois breeders fund for him winning two open co. races?

Any breeder fund bonus would go to the listed breeder rather than current owner of the horse anyway. If the horse was running in Illinois he'd be eligible for 40-60% additional purse money for owner awards and 11.5% to the breeder for purse money here. For sure wins in Florida don't get any owner bonuses and pretty sure the listed breeders doesn't either.

Below is how Florida does it, Kentucky allows for horses that race in the USA to get breeders awards as long as they race in eligible races.
2011 Florida-Bred Breeders' Awards

Under the current plan, beginning in January 2011, Breeders’ Awards will be paid to the breeder of a Florida-bred registered with the FTBOA that finishes in first, second or third place in a race at a Florida Thoroughbred track as follows:

1st place—Ten percent of the announced gross purse, less any Florida Owners’ Awards included therein, with each such Breeders’ Award limited to no more than $10,000;
2nd place—Three percent of the announced gross purse, less any Florida Owners’ Awards included therein, with each such Breeders’ Award limited to no more than $3,000; and
3rd place—Two percent of the announced gross purse, less any Florida Owners’ Awards included therein, with each such Breeders’ limited to no more than $1,500.

Navy Wings is entered in the 7th at Laurel Park today. He is now owned by Midwest Thoroughbreds and trained my Jamie Ness :( . IMO there's not any speed to set it up for him....who knows, with the new connections he may go wire to wire.

I hope he has a safe trip and returns from the race sound
