Opening night tonight at my hometown track! Will be hard to cap with all the shippers coming in from all over the place. Should be a great card to make some money on!
R1: 5,4,6......Gift Of Honor-5/2 ML.....Shipping in from Prairie Medaows. Should be able to fire a solid first time start with Roland aboard
R2: 2,7,1......Little Anna Mae-7/2 ML......Maier brought this filly over from Cal Expo. Very familiar with the ride. Has good closing speed and does prefer the inside post. Cal Expo horses do pretty well here.
R3: 2,5,4......Chewy Baca-8/5 ML......Loves the track here. Did decent over at Prarie Meadows and gets shipped back to his home court. Wheeled off wins in a row last August here and plans to make his 3 year old debut a good one. Mr. Trifecta's Lock of the Night!
R4: 7,6,2......Sammobrand Willow-4/1 ML......Shipped from Maywood were he was hitting his form in stride and should be able to pick up here. 5/8's mile track should be a benefit as he tends to come flying in late. Longo aboard to light up the tote board.
R5: 6,2,4......Suwanee River-6/1 ML......Shipping in from Rosecroft, Wrenn Jr onboard. Horse didn't show much over at RcR, but faith is that Wrenn Jr is a much better driver then Mosher and the fresh off the claim should help.
R6: 3,2,6......Dagota-9/2 ML......Qualifier was impressively ridden as she finished strong. PrM didn't show a ton, but if she can duplicate that qualifier, she can have a first win in her 3 yr old campaign.
R7: 5,3,8......Restless-6/1 ML......Was on a terror here last year, winning seven straight. Trainer change to Vilsnovec after last seasson. Qualifier didn't show a ton, but not too worried about the form. This maybe the best price you will get on this horse all season. Mr. Trifecta's Pick of the Night!
R8: 1,4,8......Double L Rumbler-5/1 ML......Maier onaboard. Did well in CalX, just had an issue with finishing afew. Does have early speed which should help here. Has cashed against tougher.
R9: 6,4,7......Candy Is Dandy-8/1 ML......Won last time out. Was here last year in open handicapping and racing against tougher. Getting a big morning line price here. Mr. Trifecta's Bomber of the Night!
R10: 9,2,1......Warrawee Lad-3/1 ML......Destroyed against similar company in Maywood at this level. Then got brought up to higher purses and did nothing. Huge drop in class and level. Definitely see an open length victory.
