as per our discussion on the triple crown forum, i am going to post these on this thread for the month of june. all horses must be top ranked class horses (no ties) that meet certain form requirements and are not morning line favorites. proceed with caution as i'm relative novice to class handicapping and you're not going to be getting classhandicapper or capper al quality.

letter in parentheses is my a-b-c trainer grade.

class ratings start slow as flying repent gets bet hard at mnr, but runs up the track beating only mountainman's pick and the morning line favorite. trainer frank cifarelli's onwingsandaprayer makes a menacing turn move in the 9th at pen, but can't get by morning line favorite supreme miss ridden by tonyk@hsh's jockey manuel chaves. the rich get richer!!

cajun beauty ($12.00) hangs on by a diminishing neck at lad to give the class ratings their first profitable day. however, the day leaves us with an empty feeling as so serene goes off at 17-1 at ct and leads every step but the final one where she is nailed at the wire by a horse who closed from harper's ferry. a horrible photo to lose, but life goes on.

chit chat cat bounds out of the gate at pid and starts friday with our highest paying winner of the month at $12.40. but then disaster strikes as a parade of loser after loser marches by. horses breaking slow, breaking in the air, or just plain getting outrun. the topper though was tip of the sword flying down the ct stretch at 19-1, but losing a photo at the wire. our second one inch longshot of the week at charles town. by the time the 8th race comes around i'm now a big scooter davis fan. scooter's river angel stumbles out of the gate (bad) but quickly hooks and beats scott lake and robert cole jr's grandanna (good) but ends up paying $4.00 even when grandanna was favored most of the way (bad).

thanks for the feedback jay. i do like my format and would love to read more posts like this win or lose. as for my class ratings, i think i'll probably end up finding that they aren't too predictive by themselves..... kinda like dick mitchell did in his old book winning thoroughbred strategies.
