Basketball Hall-of-Famer Jack Twyman played for the University of Cincinnati Bearcats and (during my years living in Cincinnati) for the Cincinnati Royals, and also became the guardian of teammate Maurice Stokes after Stokes was paralyzed as the result of an injury during a game. A great player and an unselfish caregiver. Rest in peace.

I remember him well from my days as a big NBA fan going to the old MSG for Tues. night doubleheaders; even remember seeing him play as a Rochester Royal. Another good guy gone. RIP.

I remember him. Had his basketball card way back when. If I remember correctly, he played during the Oscar Robertson era. Bob Pettit, Tommy Heinson, Bob Cousy, Dolph Shayes etc ...
