Chalky night it looks this evening, but there are some potential good plays.
R1: 3,4,1......Mighty Nice-5/2 ML......Wired the field last out with Clements aboard. Clements jumps off for the #5, but we are staying aboard with Simard. Does have the capability to do it again, but will need to prove the win over the sloppy track wasn't a flue.
R2: 3,7,6......Frozen Assets-9/2 ML......Sells needs to get this gelding a bit closer to the pace to have a shot here. Has good closing speed, but needs to fire a bit earlier.
R3: 5,4,3......Bombilla Hanover-2/1 ML......Chalk race, definitely not worth bet. Bombilla Hanover should win handily here again.
R4: 3,2,7......Original Ruby-7/2 ML......Hurt by post position last out. Gets improved post here and should figure in. Clements onboard is helpful.
R5: 1,5,7......Musclehead-8/1 ML......5 for 7 when inside the 4 hole or better. Draws golden post and should figure at a big price here. Will be on the pace and the lead. Santeramo aboard helps as he knows this horse. Mr. Trifecta's Pick of the Night!
R6: 2,3,5......Pretty Woman-9/2 ML......#3 will be heavily bet and should be with that recent lifetime mark. Going with Pretty Woman here. Has been up and near the lead the last two only to not have enough to go by. Gets another try here and should get the garden spot behind the #3. Turcotte will need to find something down the stretch to have a shot.
R7: 2,3,1......Hi Bred Option-9/2 ML......Two back upset the field at 24/1 and closed strongly. Gets another try here in the two hole with Ross Jr aboard. Does have closing kick which should help as the #3 looks to wire.
R8: 4,5,6......Genesisjerseyspeed-3/1 ML......Had this horse last time, but came up scratched. If can return to form three back, should have an easy time of this field. Spriggs winning at 22% clip.
R9: 7,4,1......SOS Rivertail-4/1 ML......Draws outside, but shouldn't matter as this mare has been on form as of late. Clements dangerous from anywhere here and has won the last two. Don't see her stopping now.
