Today brings the welcome news that the Lockerbie bomber, al Megrahi, has finally died.
He dies in his homeland, Libya, surrounded by family and supporters.
One might think that this closes the book on this issue. It shouldn't.

I can think of no greater disgrace, or miscarriage of justice, within the legal system of a civilized nation (in my lifetime, at least).
Scotland, and the UK, should hang their heads in shame over the actions of Kenny MacAskill close to 2 years ago.
Both he, and that Labour party hack Gordon Brown (UK PM at the time) were never held accountable for their actions in freeing this murderer.
The man returned to Libya a hero, had his time in the sun, and lived out his days among his own - for two years.
He should have been rotting behind bars, or in some dreary Scottish hospital, all this time.
Punishment should fit the crime - that monster killed 270 innocent people.
Kenny MacAskill committed a crime the day he set him free.
He could plead insansity, I suppose.
He must have been out of his mind.
