There's something not-quite-right about a $200k+ carryover pool being applied to a race with a $15k purse.

Not question integrity.. and a pentafecta would be tough to fix (with 8k claimers no less).. but, if I were track management I'd have made any single-race carryover point to the next carded Graded Stakes or something similar.

Maybe I'd feel differently if the carryover was achieved by nobody hitting it on multiple days of low level racing.. but, nobody hits the Derby and you carry it to low level claimers? Just doesn't "feel" right, ya know?
