Four bombs and a two bagger. Eighteen total bases. Only the 16th in history with four HR's in one game.

Especially if a babysitter isn't included in the contract.

Especially if a babysitter isn't included in the contract.

won't happen. Everywhere this guy goes....there will be a babysitter.

But if he keeps playing like this..........it's worth it...........

Some of the other names on the list of 4 HR's in same game.

1. Willie Mays
2. Lou Gehrig
3. Mike Schmidt
4. Gil Hodges
5. Chuck Klein

Then these old time sluggers
Joe Adcock
Rocky Colavito
Bob Horner
Carlos Delgado

One that surprised me----Mike Cameron

IMO hardest things to do by one player.

Pitcher
Perfect Game
20 or more K's in one game.

Position Player
Unassisted triple play
4 HR's in one game.

Wonder how many guys like Ruth, A-Rod, Bonds, Griffey, Sosa had 3 HR's in one game.

cj's dad---I got to see live Roy Halladay's perfect game. The Phils infielder Eric Bruntlett with an unassisted triple play.

Last night saw the last of Hamilton's four HR's.
Saw the last few innings of Kerry Wood when he had 20 K's.

Saw as in on TV was not at the games live.

How ? Did ESPN pick up the live feed ?
I went to bed after HR #2

cj's dad---MLB.TV they show all the games live. To me as a huge baseball fan it's a great bargain. Full HD viewing. Right now watch Reds/Brewers. I love the music and routine after the Cubs win a home game. The Phils do a Harry Kalas "High Hopes" Song but the Cubbies is priceless.

As a Reds fan, it hurts. Still can't believe we traded him.

I had this discussion with my neighbor here in Md today. I was bemoaning the probable lineup of Votto and Hamilton together and what could have been :bang:

Is the All Star game today? I would have sworn I was watching the home run derby last night, so it must be, right?

Speaking of Home Run Derby, how you going to beat this show?

just wishing josh stays healthy for this season long enuff for another WS run, then let him go to the dodgers or yanks or sawx....then Leonys Martin steps into CF for us....he's going to shock folks not familiar with him

josh is great, but he's a ticking timebomb. i wish him well wherever he goes off to

Killebrew and Mantle were perhaps the two most powerful pre-steriod era hitters in baseball. I might toss in McCovey and Frank Howard as honorable mentions.

I think I heard on a sports talk show that Josh could go 0 for his next 200 ab and still have a higher slugging pct than where Albert is now.

Frank Robinson, Aaron and Mays would have to be up there. All were better overall hitters than Killebrew, who was strictly a power hitter.

Re: Hamilton, there's no question on the talent. As good as anyone. Its the off the field issue and the injury issue with him.

My uncle was a friend of the show's producer. I got to watch the taping of Mantle vs Mays. Got a signed ball. I was floating on air for months.

That's how you beat it. ;)

Shoot, even a 6-yr old can do that...

Josh Hamilton hits another homer in the 2nd inning. 39 RBI's batting .406 and 16 Homers.

He has 3 more home runs than the entire San Diego Padre team

I am just going to have to move to Dallas to see this guy play.

7 innings to go......

At LS racebook tonite, you could hear the bar crowd yell "YUUUUUU" after each K.

wtf has happened to Pujols??? He looks awful at the plate & he completely missed a throw to him in the first inning that prolonged CJ's misery.

The Angels look totally miserable in the field. No excuse, they were in Arlington yesterday while the Rangers were playing a late doubleheader in Balt last night and didn't land in town till after 3am

Hamilton now only the 3rd player in MLB history to hit 17 home runs in his teams first 33 games. The two others were---
Cy Williams Phils 1923
Frank Howard Senators 1968

And I was thinking Matt Kemp was hot in April. :) Makes Hamilton white hot. With his batting average still over 400 even more impressive.

Another dinger to tie the game in the 6th Today.

Best stroke I've seen since Griffey Junior.

Sunday night, drives home 2 more runs on a double, chasing Weaver (no no-hitter tonight...weaver gives up more runs, than he got outs on Rangers)

Pujols....man the guy is just slow @ the plate right now
