Well merging the sire and dam does account for probably about 80% of the names in racing. I guess it's hard to go against it :D

Rumors are flying around full speed . I guess when Team Zenyatta is ready they will announce . We know they arrived that's confirmed but nothing else yet
verified . I'd love to see a princess though . Mother and baby in good health of course !

I rewatched her classic win, and in the post race coverage, they alluded to it being the last of her career.

Was the plan to retire her?

O yes, and in fact I believe they officially did. In the interim they left her at Shirreffs barn and a few weeks later the connections decided it just wasn't time to retire her. So she was retired but never far from training.
