Rickie Fowler wins the Wells Fargo at Quail Hollow

Boy, oh, boy, does that make my son happy. His favorite player gets his first PGA Tour win.

Whatever he struggled with that prevented him from closing the deal on Sunday, it seems to be behind him now.

My son likes him since he is an OSU grad, but no way is anyone buying those ridiculous clothes. I play a lot of golf, and the next guy I see wearing that awful colored Puma gear will be the first.

He was by far the best of the Golf Boyz though!

Except for a win in Korea, Ricky had the dubious title of best player on tour without a win. Good for him.
Now I think that I'll rush right out and buy some orange gear.

As a side note, I really enjoyed Sir Nick's comment while Rickie was plumb bobbing his putt. To paraphrase 'how can you plumb bob a putt when the club is still moving?'

If I had money to burn I would by an all orange Ricky Fowler-style outfit and wear it... just to see the looks on the faces of the other guys in my foursome.

I would take Bud Cauley over Fowler... Cauley is an unreal talent who is in his rookie season without a win.
