The Meadows Double Double

Not that I need any more races to handicap but as the Pen v Chip contest will be heading to the Meadows, I thought it prudent to at least get myself accustomed to watching the races. No better way that to cap and share to get me ready for my home track.

So for the next week or so, will be releasing my $6 play in both DD at the Meadows. IN this I will key one horse in the 1st leg and three in the 2nd.

I now recall my reasoning as to my no longer betting or watching the Meadows. Maybe someday they will get a racing secretary that can fill races with a competitive field. Amazing to hit a double spending only $6 and losing money, so it is the story of the Meadows. If the 35-cent rake on the dollar in trifectas doesn't get ya, a plethora of 1/5 winning shots permeate the card.

Looking ahead at the entries....looks to be pretty sparse in the early DD with a maidne pace leading off and a maiden trot to finish it. Most of these green ones tend to be incosnsitent. Might just change the format and go three deep in both races. That might change if the pp's show something that I can't see on just the entry names.

In the late double, just by names, looks to be a cheap one with one stable winning both ends. Again, that is just a cursory inspection of the race with more detail once the PP's come out on Wednesday. Should be back from the oncologists office by late afternoon...nothing important, just a check up and tests to be run....look for my last selections of the week on Wednesday evening.

Took a downpour to stop the streak. Hit 3 of 4 with 4 DD more to go this week at the Meadows. Next up, will be trying my hand at Western Fair and at Georgian Downs. Both offer early and late DD.
