Any questions? I didn't think so.I've got one. Doesn't this invalidate the "trickle down" theory?

Don't know and don't care.

The only trickling that's going on is the government p*ssing on our collective backs and telling us it's raining.

Here is a third question. Do you realize that the chart you linked to proves something that you do not believe in? It proves that worker salaries are too low.
Here is a link to another chart.
http://www.usgovernmentspending.com/us_gdp_history

This chart shows that GDP is 14 times greater now than it was in 1970.
By contrast spending is 2.85 times greater and income is only .25 times greater.
At the same time the population of the country is 1.5 times greater than in 1970. So why wouldn't spending increase?

On the other had personal income has only increased at 1.7% of increase of the overall economy.

Considering the increased population and the increased size of the economy, the increase in spending is reasonable. The lack of an increase in income is a disgrace.

Yeah this is completely wrong. Hint: if GDP grew 14-fold while spending grew three-fold, spending as a % of GDP would be down radically. It isn't.

Ya, that lack of increase is a damn shame. Let's pass a law so that every one gets a raise.

Here is the problem. The GDP numbers I referenced are raw numbers, while the spending numbers are inflation adjusted. I should have been more careful. Using the raw numbers for both, spending has increased at about the same rate as GDP, at least through 2010.

If this is true we have President Slick Willie to thank. His passage of NAFTA is the direct cause of millions of American jobs being taken over by citizens of other countries. I agree with you about the situation being disgraceful.
